Keith is a certified public accountant with years of financial and development consulting experience in both California’s and Hawaii’s affordable housing industries. His immeasurable skills stem from a Bachelors of Arts, with honors in Accounting and Political Science, from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Keith has also obtained securities licenses (Series 7 & 63) and a designation as a Licensed Insurance Agent in California (Life & Health).
His experience in all aspects of financial accounting and consulting are varied and extensive, and include: providing consultation regarding low-income housing credits, HUD loans and rental assistance, analyzing feasibility, selection of investors or lenders, tenant compliance issues, financial model preparation, underwriting reviews and audits of financial statements and tax returns.
Formerly, for seven years, Keith worked in management at Novogradac & Company, LLP, providing consult services for tax and audit arrangements, real estate developments and some litigation support. Additionally, he has lent his industry knowledge to a variety of publications, newsletters and conferences, including the “Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Handbook”.
Keith’s financial awareness and comprehension has aided in the successful completion of funding applications with over $2 billion in tax credits and over $2.4 billion in tax-exempt bonds, resulting in the development of many affordable, mixed-income and mixed-use housing projects.
