David founded DBR Development, LLC in early 2004 after having spent 8 years in Project Management and as Director of Development for both “For-Profit” and “Non-Profit” developers of affordable housing.
Specifically, David’s expertise, experience and relationships provides the platform to leverage 70+ years of experience in the affordable housing industry to create solutions for any given project challenge.
David and his team provide financial capital and sweat equity needed to operate DBR on a daily basis.
With his aptitude to bring together resources from both public and private sectors, David has provided a leadership role in the development of approximately 1800 units. This includes a wide span of housing developments including:
• Community Development and Revitalization Projects
• Multifamily rental housing utilizing the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (“LIHTC”) program for both new construction and acquisition/rehab
• Homeless and Transition Shelters
• Historic Tax Credit Projects
• Farmworker Housing
David’s passion is the creation of affordable workforce housing. His drive and commitment to facilitate win-win solutions have contributed to him being recognized by the San Diego Housing Federation’s 2013 Ruby Award for Outstanding Development Partner. He has strong history, a deep base of knowledge and resources, expertise and a synergistic team focused to successfully bring workforce housing projects to fruition.
