Vista Verde

The Vista Verde Apartments project was a 40 unit new construction affordable housing community located in the Imperial/Sherman Heights Neighborhood of Southeastern San Diego.

Project challenges included: adopted site from previous developer; blighted site; 1st new development in community in over 20 years; community support yet neighborhood opposition (NIMBY issues); structure layered financing and complete project in an extremely short time frame to preserve the Low Income Housing Tax Credits.

Completed construction in 8 months.

Unit amenities include fully equipped kitchen with range/oven, refrigerator, garbage disposal, and microwave.

Low VOC paints, glues and adhesives were utilized throughout the project to better protect the environment and residents.

A large community room, tot lot and basketball court were constructed for the enjoyment of the residents.
